Opposition Period

German Trademarks

Opposition based on prior rights can be filed against the registration of a German trademark within a period of three months following the day of publication of the mark in the Official Gazette "Markenblatt".

International Registration

The opposition period for an International Registration with protection in Germany is three months calculated from the 1st of the month following publication in the WIPO Gazette.
